Job summary

Harmony Housing Affordable Development Inc. (HHAD) seeks a Controller to lead HHAD's accounting functions, reporting to the Executive Vice President and partnering with Harmony Housing's Corporate Accounting team in Raleigh, NC.

The role oversees development and corporate accounting, treasury, and internal controls. You will guide budgeting, cash flow forecasting, monthly closes, and compliance across LIHTC and multi-entity structures, while building scalable systems and dashboards for executive

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar; Master’s preferred.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• 10+ years progressive accounting experience, including at least five years in a leadership role.
• Extensive experience in affordable housing development, LIHTC partnerships, treasury management, multi-entity accounting, construction accounting.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting functions for corporate and development operations.
• Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting policies.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow forecasting.
• Oversee project accounting, construction funding, and lender draws.
• Coordinate with investors, lenders, and regulators for reporting and compliance.
• Develop executive dashboards and scalable accounting systems.
