Job summary

Harmony Housing Affordable Development Inc. (HHAD) seeks a seasoned Controller to lead HHAD's accounting functions across corporate and development operations, ensuring timely reporting, strong internal controls, and scalable systems as the portfolio grows.

Based in Raleigh, NC with hybrid/remote options, the role partners with leadership, investors, lenders, and public agencies to optimize capital deployment, manage LIHTC and project financing, and drive KPI dashboards and policy development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s preferred.
• CPA strongly preferred; 10+ years progressive accounting experience.
• Experience leading multi-entity construction accounting and LIHTC financing.
• Excellent Excel and accounting software proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting functions for corporate and development operations.
• Develop policies, internal controls, and KPIs; ensure timely month-end close.
• Oversee construction funding, drawings, and cost allocations.
• Collaborate with investors, lenders, and regulators; support GAAP compliance.
