Job summary

Thermo Systems LLC. is seeking a seasoned Control Systems Project Engineer II to lead and manage multiple control system projects in New Jersey. You will mentor staff, read P&ID diagrams, and design complex HMI/PLC-based systems.

The role requires strong engineering fundamentals, extensive experience, and the ability to drive projects to on-time, on-budget completion with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with relevant experience.
• Typically 10+ years total experience.
• Proven track record: 3+ years as Control Systems Project Engineer II or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead start-up and commissioning tasks for systems.
• Read and interpret P&ID and wiring diagrams and comment on field vs drawings.
• Design complex control systems and provide instrumentation specs.
• Lead IT and network design related to control system integration.
• Author complex design documents and cost-effective specifications.
• Mentor and train junior staff on projects.
• Identify scope changes and manage projects to schedule and budget.
