Job summary

Audubon Companies seeks an Electrical Engineering Associate, Senior in Lake Charles, LA to design equipment and systems, develop calculations, and review vendor drawings to meet client requirements.

The role requires leading project tasks, managing budgets and schedules, and interacting with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers while ensuring HSSE compliance. An ABET-accredited engineering degree and EIT or equivalent experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required.
• ABET-accredited degree is preferred.
• Electrical Engineering degree is preferred.
• EIT certification is preferred.
• Field and industry experience are required.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience preferred.
• Experience leading multi-discipline projects preferred.
• Experience with ETAP, SKM, and CARS software preferred.
• Knowledge of NEC, NEMA, API, IEEE design codes preferred.
• Ability to lead and communicate with clients and teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare specifications for project assignments with codes and vendor requirements.
• Develop engineering sketches and analyses for complex projects.
• Review vendor drawings for compliance with specs.
• Interact with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources.
• Ensure compliance with HSSE standards and regulations.
• Visit sites and vendor facilities to assess requirements.
• Prepare reports, plans, and construction schedules.
