Job summary

Audubon Companies, LLC seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Metairie, LA team. You will design equipment and systems, prepare specifications, perform calculations, and review vendor drawings while coordinating with clients and vendors to meet project goals.

You will lead medium-to-large multi-discipline projects, develop man-hour estimates, manage budgets, and ensure HSSE compliance. A PE license and 10+ years of experience are preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required or equivalent.
• PE license required.
• 10+ years of experience preferred.
• Medium/large multi-discipline project lead experience preferred.
• Caesar II, NozzlePRO and/or PIPE-FLO software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently prepare intermediate to advanced level specifications detailing client performance requirements, design requirements, codes and vendor drawings.
• Prepare engineering sketches, perform calculations and develop analysis models for complex projects.
• Review and approve vendor drawings for compliance with project specs.
• Interact with clients, subcontractors, vendors and consultants to ensure project success.
• Plan and manage workload, budgets and resources for assigned projects.
• Develop and review engineering design packages and estimate man-hours and costs.
