GrayMatter is seeking a skilled Control Systems Engineer to join our Building Automation Services team in Indianapolis, IN. The role emphasizes managing specialized work with careful attention to detail and timely delivery.

You will lead cross-disciplinary coordination to ensure seamless operation across platforms and will design and validate commissioning procedures and documentation. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in EE/EET/ME/MET or equivalent, with experience in SCADA, control

Control Systems Engineer

We'relooking for a Control Systems Engineer to join our Building Automation Services team! This position will focus on managing specialized work efficiently, with confidence and competence. The position requires above average attention to details, concern for the exact correctness of work, and strong commitment to tasks completed on time. The person in this position will take work seriously, has a strong sense of duty, and is disciplined. The position will generally be task oriented, requiring someone with a conservative, careful, and cautious approach to work.

General Job Duties:

• Performing GrayMatter services to meet client needs, with a specific focus on Control Systemscommon in datacenter, power generation, and advanced manufacturing industries.


• Designing,developingand implementing solutionstoachieveproject goals.


• Lead integration and coordination between mechanical, electrical, andcontrols systems to ensure seamless operation across platforms.


• Lead development and execution of commissioning procedures, test scripts, and documentation validation.


• Consulting with and training end users on new applications


• Assistingin project development and planning.


• The location of thepositionislocal, butcould requireup to 50% travel throughouta calendaryear.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Needed:

• Bachelor's Degree in an applicable field (EE, EET, ME, MET or comparable). An equivalent combination of experience and training may also be considered

7+ years of relevant working experience with:

• SCADA Systems: Ignition


• Control Systems implementation, design, installs, and troubleshooting


• Experience with industrial application programming languages


• Experience with Electrical Schematics, Power Distribution, Water/Cooling systems.


• Acute attention to detail and process, Strong ability to solve problems and research solutions and Excellent customer service attitude

Preferred experience:

• AutoCAD or Drafting experience


• Networking experience (Ethernet IP, Modbus, etc.)

The target annual base compensation for this position is competitive and based upon relevant qualifications and experience. This role may also include a fixed monthly living stipend or daily per diem when traveling.
