Job summary

GrayMatter Systems Llc is seeking a Control Systems Engineer for a hybrid role in St. Louis. The position requires 4+ years of relevant experience with PLC programming, HMI/SCADA, and electrical schematics.

Travel to client sites in Iowa and Ohio is expected, up to 30-40%. Base compensation ranges from $115,000 to $135,000 annually plus benefits. The candidate will design, implement and support control system solutions, and collaborate with clients to ensure successful project execution and

Qualifications

• . Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field (EE, EET, ME, MET or comparable) or equivalent
• . 4+ years of relevant working experience with PLC programming and control systems implementation

Location: This position is Hybrid commuting to our St. Louis office. Additionally, the role requires 30-40% travel as needed to client locations in Iowa and Ohio.

General Job Duties

• Performing GrayMatter services to meet client needs, with a specific focus on Control Systems
• Designing, developing and implementing solutions to resolve customer issues
• Consulting with and training end users on new applications
• Assisting in project development and planning.
• Performing onsite pilots, FAT testing, SAT testing, and demos as needed
• Perform onsite start-up and commissioning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in an applicable field (EE, EET, ME, MET or comparable). An equivalent combination of experience, training, and active credentials may also be considered
• 4+ years of relevant working experience with:
  • PLC Programming: Schneider Modicon, Allen-Bradley, CompactLogix, ControlLogix, Schneider Electric, and Siemens
  • Control Systems implementation, design, installs, and troubleshooting
  • HMI/SCADA development experience
  • Experience with industrial application programming languages
  • Experience reading Electrical Schematics
  • Networking experience (Ethernet IP, Modbus, etc.)
  • Acute attention to detail and process, Strong ability to solve problems and research solutions and Excellent customer service attitude

The target annual base compensation range for this position is $115,000 - $135,000, based upon relevant qualifications.
