Job summary

GrayMatter is seeking a Senior Control Systems Engineer to join our Building Automation Services team in Tulsa, OK. You will manage specialized work with attention to detail and ensure on-time delivery, collaborating with mechanical, electrical, and controls experts.

The role emphasizes design, development, and commissioning of control systems for data centers, power generation, and advanced manufacturing. Travel up to 50% may be required; a BS in EE/EET/ME/MET or equivalent is expected;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in EE, EET, ME, MET or equivalent.
• 7+ years of relevant experience with control systems, SCADA, and commissioning.
• Experience with Ignition SCADA and electrical schematics.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead control systems design, development, and implementation for datacenter, power, and manufacturing environments.
• Coordinate between mechanical, electrical, and controls teams to ensure seamless operation.
• Develop commissioning procedures, test scripts, and validate documentation.
• Consult with and train end users on new applications.
• Support project planning and execution.

General Job Duties

• Performing GrayMatter services to meet client needs, with a specific focus on Control Systemscommon in datacenter, power generation, and advanced manufacturing industries.
• Designing,developingand implementing solutionstoachieveproject goals.
• Lead integration and coordination between mechanical, electrical, andcontrols systems to ensure seamless operation across platforms.
• Lead development and execution of commissioning procedures, test scripts, and documentation validation.
• Consulting with and training end users on new applications
• Assistingin project development and planning.
• The location of thepositionislocal, butcould requireup to 50% travel throughouta calendaryear.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Needed

• Bachelor’s Degree in an applicable field (EE, EET, ME, MET or comparable). An equivalent combination of experience and training may also be considered

7+ Years of Relevant Working Experience With

• SCADA Systems: Ignition
• Control Systems implementation, design, installs, and troubleshooting
• Experience with industrial application programming languages
• Experience with Electrical Schematics, Power Distribution, Water/Cooling systems.
• Acute attention to detail and process, Strong ability to solve problems and research solutions and Excellent customer service attitude

Preferred experience

• AutoCAD or Drafting experience
• Networking experience (Ethernet IP, Modbus, etc.)

The target annual base compensation for this position is competitive and based upon relevant qualifications and experience. This role may also include a fixed monthly living stipend or daily per diem when traveling.
