Job summary

Interstates is seeking a Senior Control Systems Developer to take ownership of significant portions of control system projects. You will design, program, test, and startup industrial control systems while collaborating with project teams and customers to deliver reliable automation solutions.

Responsibilities include defining scope, developing graphics and documentation, and providing advanced programming in PLC, HMI, PC configuration, or databases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or Associate's degree in Instrumentation and Controls preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Control Systems Developer or equivalent.
• Industrial programming and control system implementation experience, including startup and commissioning.
• Strong programming knowledge with expert-level experience in PLC, HMI, PC configuration, or database management.
• Experience troubleshooting industrial control systems, hardware, software, and customer networks.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design significant portions of control systems with minimal supervision.
• Define control system scope, functionality, reports, documentation, graphics, and startup support needs with project teams.
• Program, implement, test, document, install, and start up complex industrial control systems.
• Provide advanced programming expertise in two areas: PLC, HMI, PC configuration, or database management.
• Configure, install, and troubleshoot PC/PLC hardware, software, and customer networks.
• Start up control systems at customer sites with limited supervision and provide after-hours support.
