Job summary

Express Employment Professionals-Farmingdale, NY is seeking an experienced Senior Control Systems Engineer to lead and manage our in‑house Control Panel Shop. You will design, draft, and procure components for control panels while leading technicians to deliver high-quality fabrication.

You will program PLCs and HMIs, configure VFDs, and ensure UL 508A compliance. Collaboration with sales and cross‑functional teams will drive shop revenue and customer support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent design and industrial control experience.
• Hands-on experience designing, assembling, and testing industrial control panels.
• Demonstrated ability to program PLCs and HMIs; experience with VFD setup and testing.
• Familiarity with UL 508A standards and certified panel shop processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations within the Control Panel Shop and oversee panel fabrication quality.
• Design and draft small industrial control systems using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Select, specify and procure components for control panel builds.
• Program PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs for various control applications.
• Conduct factory testing to ensure compliance with standards and UL 508A.
