Castelion is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to design and deliver attitude control system hardware for our long‑range hypersonic vehicles. You will own the ACS hardware from concept through validation, including tanks, valves, thrusters, and integrated assemblies, in a fast paced, hardware‑driven environment.

You’ll work with propulsion, GNC, avionics, and structures teams to optimize mass, reliability, and manufacturability, perform structural, thermal, and fluid analyses, and

Formación

• 5+ years of aerospace or high‑performance fluid/propulsion mechanical design.
• Strong background in pressure vessels, fluid systems, and high‑pressure integration.
• Experience designing tanks, valves, thrusters, or similar ACS hardware.
• Familiarity with sealing, leak detection, and cleanliness for high‑reliability fluids.
• Proficiency in CAD and analysis tools (NX, SolidWorks, ANSYS or equivalent).
• Experience with structural/thermal analyses and tolerance stack‑up.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop ACS hardware including tanks and valves.
• Lead architecture and detailed design of pressure vessels and packaging.
• Perform structural, thermal, and fluid analyses for reliability under extreme conditions.
• Collaborate with propulsion, GNC, avionics, and structures teams for seamless integration.
• Conduct tolerance analysis and leakage assessments for high‑pressure systems.
• Support prototyping, assembly, and hardware bring‑up.
• Define qualification and environmental test plans (pressure, vibration, thermal, shock).
• Mentor junior engineers and share best practices.
• Partner with program leadership on technical trades.
