Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Principal Specialist, Contracts to manage front-end assessment of business pursuits, proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and administration for US Government DoD contracts. Role requires active secret clearance and will involve cross-functional teamwork, negotiations, and customer relationship management.

The position is onsite with relocation assistance and a sign-on bonus. Travel may be required, including international destinations.

Qualifications

• Requires university degree or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with FAR/DFARS government regulations and related rules.
• Active and transferable Secret U.S. Government security clearance required prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Support a multifunctional team across PM, engineering, finance, supply chain and estimating to manage proposals and contracts.
• Manage multiple proposals and contracts as the primary interface with the customer’s Contracting Officers.
• Lead cross-functional pricing sweeps to enable pricing certifications under the Truth in Negotiations Act.
• Conduct timely negotiations and resolve issues to maximize bookings, sales and profit.
• Process contractual awards and modifications in a timely manner and manage contract closeout.
