Job Details
The Sr. Contract Specialist role is responsible for reviewing agreements, handling the administration and customer contact activities associated with contract execution, and processing in accordance with company policies, legal and compliance requirements, and customer specifications. This role ensures the accuracy and consistency of contract content through coordination with internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, it tracks and reports on contract status and maintains systems to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and timeliness. The role also involves training stakeholders on contractual requirements.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Reviews, prepares, and evaluates agreements prior to signature to ensure accuracy, and interprets and influences performance requirements, delivery obligations, timelines, costs, and payment schedules to minimize Lash Group's exposure to risk.
  2. Collaborates with Legal, Finance, and other experts to validate contract content and resolve inconsistencies promptly.
  3. Assesses the need for legal review and engages Corporate Counsel or Vice President of Shared Services as needed; supports these stakeholders by managing priorities and customer expectations.
  4. Assists Senior Manager, Contracts, with complex contracting issues.
  5. Develops and conducts training on contract policies for new hires and stakeholders.
  6. Supports inquiries from business stakeholders regarding contracting, compliance policies, procedures, risks, and contract status.
  7. Manages contract software reporting.
  8. Develops and maintains a library of standard contract language, terms, conditions, and client-specific requirements.
  9. Performs daily maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure tracking system accuracy.
  10. Manages contractual documents across all platforms.
  11. Leads weekly contracting status calls with business leaders.
  12. Manages the contract administration email inbox.
  13. Maintains templating documents.
  14. Oversees the master contracting data repository.
  15. Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience and Educational Requirements:

Requires education in legal, business administration, grant/contract management, or similar fields, typically obtained through a Bachelor's Degree or Paralegal Certification. Requires five to seven years of experience in contracting or law firm environments, with a working knowledge of contractual and legal terms. Healthcare industry consulting experience is preferred.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Skill in analyzing, drafting, and reviewing contractual language
  • Excellent proofreading and attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to evaluate risk and prioritize tasks
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, SharePoint, and experience with iCertis preferred

Salary Range

$72,200 - 103,290 (This range reflects a national average; actual salaries may vary by location, with adjustments for specific states.)
