Job Details

The Sr. Contract Specialist role is responsible for reviewing agreements, handling the administration and customer contact activities associated with contract execution, and processing in accordance with company policies, legal and compliance requirements, and customer specifications. This role ensures the accuracy and consistency of contract content through coordination and validation with internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, it involves tracking and reporting contract status, maintaining and updating systems for data accuracy, integrity, and timeliness. The role also includes training stakeholders on contractual requirements.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Reviews, prepares, and evaluates agreements prior to signature to ensure accuracy and to interpret and influence performance requirements, delivery obligations, timelines, costs, and payment schedules, aiming to minimize Lash Group's exposure to risk.
  2. Works closely with Legal, Finance, and other subject matter experts to validate contract content and resolve inconsistencies promptly.
  3. Assesses the need for legal review, engaging Corporate Counsel and/or Vice President of Shared Services as needed; assists them by managing priorities and customer expectations.
  4. Assists the Senior Manager, Contracts, with complex contracting issues.
  5. Develops and conducts training in contract policies and acumen for new hires and stakeholders.
  6. Supports inquiries from business stakeholders regarding contracting, compliance policies, procedures, risks, and contract status.
  7. Responsible for contract software management reporting.
  8. Develops and maintains a library of contractual content, including common contract language, special terms, and client-specific requirements.
  9. Performs daily maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure tracking system accuracy.
  10. Manages contractual documents across all business platforms.
  11. Leads weekly contracting status calls with business leaders.
  12. Manages the contract administration email inbox.
  13. Maintains templating documents.
  14. Manages the master contracting data repository for pending contracts.
  15. Performs related duties as assigned.
Experience and Educational Requirements:

Requires training and understanding in fields such as legal, business administration, grant/contract management, or similar, generally obtained through a four-year Bachelor's Degree or Paralegal Certification. Requires five to seven years of direct experience in contracting or law firm experience. Knowledge of contractual/legal terms and conditions is necessary. Experience in healthcare industry consulting is preferred.

Minimum Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to draft contractual language, including missing sections.
  • Impeccable proofreading skills with attention to detail.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to evaluate risk and urgency.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, SharePoint, and experience with iCertis preferred.
  • Ability to contribute ideas to improve team efficiency and effectiveness.

Salary Range*

$72,200 - 103,290 (This reflects a national average; actual ranges vary by location, potentially up to 10% lower or 12% higher.)
