Job summary

X Energy, LLC in Oak Ridge, TN is seeking a senior contracts and procurement professional to oversee the full lifecycle of contracts, including negotiations with customers and vendors and contract administration. The role requires strong experience in complex negotiations and federal contracting guidelines.

The candidate will lead contract execution, manage procurement policies, and coordinate with program managers and finance to ensure compliance and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any field.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Typically, ten years of experience in contracts/proposal administration is required.
• Experience conducting complex negotiations.
• Advanced experience with federal contracts, and knowledge of commercial procurements.
• Understanding of federal government regulatory guidelines, as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of the core tasks and responsibilities, listed in the Job Profile Task/Responsibilities section of this document, for contracts of all sizes, without close supervision and some latitude for independent judgment.
• Provide feedback and guidance to more junior team members with the execution of the core tasks and responsibilities listed in the Job Profile Task/Responsibilities section of this document.
• Shares knowledge related to industry best practices and standards with others across the team.
• Prepare, review, and negotiate standard contract agreements and documents, to include teaming, non-disclosure, contract, subcontract, and other vendor agreements with appropriate supervision.
• Identify distinct contract requirements, provisions, and terms and conditions for flow down to subcontractors and vendors.
• Initiate documentation to authorize and direct work in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Generate and negotiate change orders and modifications with appropriate supervision.
• Resolve issues with customers, subcontractors, and vendors as needed.
