Hive + Co. seeks a Senior Contract Manager to lead contract strategy, drafting, negotiation, and execution for digital and print education products in the U.S. Higher Education market.

You will coordinate with sales, finance, and legal to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations. The role requires 10+ years in contract management, strong drafting and negotiation skills, and knowledge of data privacy laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, law or related fields; JD is a plus.
• At least 10 years of contract management experience with drafting and negotiating sales, licensing, distribution, rental, confidentiality, statements of work, integration and IT security/privacy agreements.
• Strong understanding of contract construction, licensing and IP rights.
• Working knowledge of federal and state data privacy regulations.
• Effective communicator with all levels of the client’s organization.
• Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to establish strong working relationships based on trust and consensus.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, with focus on issue identification and resolution.
• Excellent writing skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with AI tools in contract work.

Responsabilités

• Collaborates with sales to align contract strategies for US higher education customers and distributors.
• Provides contract terms and responses for RFIs/RFPs to be included in client proposals.
• Identifies risks and proposes safeguards to mitigate contractual risk with higher education customers and distributors.
• Serves as primary reviewer and input point from sales, finance, and legal during drafting and negotiations.
• Creates or modifies contracts, addendums, amendments, and statements of work for licensing, rental, direct sale, and distribution.
• Leads the team negotiating and finalizing contracts with higher education customers and distributors.
• Supports business owner analyses and recommendations on contract risk, cost and benefits.
• Addresses contract questions and provides interpretation of rights and obligations to clients and distributors.
• Maintains and improves revenue contract management processes to scale with volume and deal variations.
