Job summary

RTX BBN seeks an experienced Contracts Manager to lead and support US Government and commercial contracting. You will collaborate with program managers, finance, and legal to drive proposals, negotiations, and contract execution across a dynamic, fast-paced team.

The role emphasizes FAR/DFARS expertise, OTAs, and ITAR/EAR compliance, with hybrid work options in Cambridge, MA. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• University Degree or equivalent with 8+ years of relevant experience or an Advanced Degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience engaging directly with customers.
• Experience with US Government procurement and/or Other Transaction contracts.
• Experience applying and interpreting FAR, DFARS and other US Government regulations in proposal and contract administration.
• Experience interpreting, preparing and negotiating proposals and contracts, including terms and conditions, SOWs, milestones/deliverables, cost/price and fee/profit arrangements.
• Willingness to support a hybrid role (in-person and remote).
• Willingness to travel on a limited basis.

Responsibilities

• Advise and/or represent the organization on contract matters; act as liaison between internal and external customers.
• Review, interpret, negotiate, and manage Prime Contracts, Subcontracts, OTAs, NDAs, ACAs, DCSSAs, and other agreements.
• Review and assess US Government and commercial customer requests for proposals, identify requirements and risks, review terms and redline as needed; support cost development and gating approvals.
• Review, interpret, summarize, redline, draft complex terms and conditions and other contract documents.
• Negotiate complex customer contracts and identify risk elements with mitigation strategies.
• Provide strategic analysis, recommendations, and advice on contract matters.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards.
• Understand forward pricing rates, cost structures, and financial aspects of proposals and contracts.
• Support ITAR/EAR compliance and global trade issues; ensure CUI controls.
• Work independently; report to a Senior Manager; mentor junior staff when needed.
• Multitask routine and complex contract activities; respond to rapid requirements as they arise.
• Travel as required on a limited basis.
