Job summary

STR is seeking a Contracts Manager to lead a team of contracts professionals supporting a portfolio of DoD and IC programs. You will provide strategic direction, ensure compliance, and drive program performance in a dynamic defense contracting environment.

You will oversee bid strategy, contract negotiations, and risk assessment while partnering with senior leadership to achieve business outcomes. A Secret clearance is required with TS/SCI desirable, and U.S. citizenship is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with 7+ years of federal government contracting experience, including leadership experience.
• Active Secret clearance required; TS/SCI eligibility desirable; U.S. citizenship required.
• Expert knowledge of FAR/DFARS, contract law, and export controls (ITAR, EAR).
• Experience with multiple contract types, teaming/NDA/CRADA/ACA terms and IP/data rights.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a contracts team, including hiring and performance management.
• Oversee full life-cycle contract management across DoD and IC programs, ensuring compliance and timely execution.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support growth objectives and program performance.
• Develop external relationships with customers, primes, subcontractors, and suppliers to strengthen partnerships.
• Direct development of compliant proposals and provide strategic guidance on solicitations.
