We are supporting a rapidly growing energy and digital infrastructure developer on their search for a Senior Contracts Manager. Backed by leading global infrastructure and investment sponsors, the organization develops, builds, owns, and operates large-scale power and infrastructure assets across the United States. This role sits within the Supply Chain organization and plays a critical owner-side role leading contractual strategy and execution for major capital projects. The Senior Manager will oversee EPC, design-build, long-lead equipment, and major procurement agreements for Data Center builds, helping ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and with appropriate commercial risk protections.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development, issuance, and management of RFPs for EPC, design-build, professional services, OFCI equipment, and major supply agreements for Data Center builds
- Negotiate and execute complex owner-side EPC, design-build, and procurement contracts while balancing cost, schedule, and risk objectives
- Develop, standardize, and continuously improve contract templates, negotiation playbooks, and commercial frameworks
- Partner with legal, engineering, procurement, project management, finance, and construction teams to drive contract execution and project delivery
- Support project teams with change orders, claims, schedule extensions, dispute resolution, and contract closeout activities
- Manage vendor prequalification processes, contractor evaluations, and long-lead equipment sourcing activities
- Track contractual obligations, deliverables, notice provisions, milestones, and risk exposure throughout the project lifecycle
- Provide regular reporting and commercial updates to leadership regarding contracts, commitments, claims, and project risks
- Support development of procurement and contracting strategies that optimize project outcomes and long-term asset value
- Ensure compliance with company policies, commercial standards, governance requirements, and regulatory obligations
- Assist in managing commercial interfaces between contractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal stakeholders
- Support continuous improvement efforts related to contract administration, procurement processes, and commercial risk management
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Law, Business, or a related discipline
- 5+ years of contract management, EPC contracting, procurement, commercial management, or project execution experience
- Demonstrated success negotiating and administering EPC, design-build, and procurement agreements within large-scale infrastructure environments within the Data Center space
- Strong understanding of contract law, construction contracting, commercial risk allocation, claims management, and dispute resolution
- Experience managing projects from initial procurement through construction and closeout
- Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects and competing priorities simultaneously
- Experience working within fast-paced, project-driven environments
Preferred Skills & Attributes
- Experience supporting energy infrastructure, renewable energy, power generation, data centers, mission-critical facilities, industrial projects, or other large capital projects
- Familiarity with OFCI procurement strategies and long-lead equipment sourcing
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance cost, risk, schedule, and operational objectives
- Experience with contract management and document control platforms such as Procore or similar tools
- Advanced degree (MBA, JD, Master's) preferred
- Experience supporting owner/developer organizations or owner-side project delivery models
