Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in government contract management or related field.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex federal contracts through lifecycle.
• Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and federal contracting regs.
• Experience supporting DoW or other federal customers preferred.
• Experience with contract negotiations, modifications, risk assessments, and compliance.
• Experience reviewing solicitations, terms, SOWs and other documents.

Senior Contracts Manager

Capstone Research Corporation is seeking to expand our team. Capstone Research Corporation is headquartered in Huntsville Alabama. We have an immediate opening for a Senior Contracts Manager to work in our Huntsville, AL office. In this role you will oversee the full lifecycle of government contracts, ensuring compliance with federal acquisition regulations, contractual requirements, and company policies. This role will support government customers and internal stakeholders by managing contract negotiations, administration, modifications, risk mitigation, and performance oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of government contracts, including proposal support, contract negotiation, award, administration, modifications, and closeout.
• Review, interpret, and negotiate contract terms, conditions, statements of work, and other contractual documents.
• Monitor contract performance, deliverables, milestones, funding, and compliance requirements to ensure contractual obligations are met.
• Prepare, review, and process contract modifications, change orders, task orders, and other contractual actions.
• Identify and mitigate contractual, financial, and regulatory risks while recommending strategies to protect the organization's interests.
• Maintain accurate contract files, documentation, records, and reporting in accordance with government and company requirements.
• Provide guidance to leadership and internal stakeholders on contractual obligations, regulatory changes, compliance matters, and business risks.
• Support government audits, contract reviews, and compliance assessments.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in government contract management, contract administration, or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, Finance, or a related field
• Demonstrated experience managing complex federal government contracts throughout the contract lifecycle.
• Strong working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and other applicable federal contracting regulations.
• Experience supporting Department of War (DoW) or other federal government customers preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with contract negotiations, modifications, risk assessments, and contractual compliance.
• Experience reviewing and interpreting solicitations, contract terms and conditions, statements of work, and other contractual documents.
