JAB Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Manager for a direct-hire opportunity in the dredging, marine construction, and heavy civil industry. Reporting to C-suite leadership, you will helm contract administration, risk management, and closeout compliance for major projects onsite in Galveston, TX.

This is not a back-office role; you will align contracts with field operations, project management, and executive leadership while safeguarding commercial interests and ensuring

Qualifications

• Experience in dredging, marine construction, or heavy civil projects.
• Proven ability to manage contracts from award to closeout with risk controls.
• Strong collaboration with field operations, project management, and executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead contract review, administration, and compliance.
• Identify and mitigate contractual and commercial risk.
• Manage contractual notices, obligations, deadlines, and documentation.
• Support change orders, claims avoidance, negotiations, and dispute resolution.
• Prepare and review contractual correspondence and technical documentation.
• Partner with project managers, superintendents, estimators, and quality teams.
• Support client communications and protect company interests.
• Provide contractual guidance throughout project execution and closeout.
• Support QMS, document control, and project compliance requirements.
