Job summary

RRD, a global leader in marketing, print, and supply chain solutions, seeks an experienced contracts attorney to join as Assistant General Counsel in Illinois. You will lead complex client contract negotiations and provide strategic legal advice to senior management.

The role requires a JD and bar admission, 5+ years in law firms or corporate settings, and a proactive, collaborative approach to risk, compliance, and cross-functional partnerships.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) and active bar membership in at least one state.
• Minimum 5 years of legal experience in law firm or corporate setting.
• Strong drafting, negotiating, and analytical skills with ability to communicate to executives.

Responsibilities

• Structure, draft, negotiate, and analyze complex client and vendor agreements.
• Draft and negotiate commercial technology agreements, including licenses, software licensing/support, SaaS, cloud computing, AI implementations, development, outsourcing, and consulting agreements.
• Advise on data privacy, information security, technology controls, emerging technologies (including AI), and related regulatory compliance matters.
• Support healthcare clients by leveraging knowledge of CMS regulations and industry standards.
