Job summary

Praxis Precision Medicines is seeking a senior contracts attorney to serve as the principal advisor on contracting, shaping strategy, templates, and the operating model across Clinical, Technical Operations, Commercial, Finance and Procurement.

You will draft and negotiate high‑value agreements, drive end‑to‑end lifecycle improvements, and enable fast, compliant decision‑making while protecting Praxis, its programs, and the patients we serve.

Qualifications

• JD from ABA-accredited law school and bar admission in at least one US state.
• 5+ years of in-house or law firm experience in contracting.
• Expert-level drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements across functions.
• Ability to assess legal risk within business objectives and provide decisive recommendations.
• Proficiency with AI tools and interest in using technology to improve legal work.
• Experience building or maintaining contracting functions, templates, and playbooks.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiations and drafting of the most complex, high-value agreements across clinical, development, manufacturing, commercial, and corporate activities.
• Define, own, and improve the end-to-end contract lifecycle and multi-year roadmap.
• Apply strong business judgment to contracting decisions and provide clear recommendations.
• Provide practical legal guidance to Clinical Operations and related teams.
• Partner with Compliance and other stakeholders to reflect regulatory requirements in templates and terms.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, Compliance, IT to assess third-party risks.
• Leverage AI and legal tech to improve speed, quality, and consistency.
