Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Contracts professional to lead bid and proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and lifecycle administration for defense and government programs.

The role requires extensive experience in federal contracting, strong drafting and negotiation skills, and the ability to navigate complex agreements while ensuring regulatory compliance. Top Secret clearance is preferred and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field required.
• 6-8 years' experience in aerospace/defense/government contracting.
• U.S. Security Clearance (Secret minimum; Top Secret preferred).
• Experience in DoD/Federal prime contract administration/management.
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Operations, Contracts, Sales, Strategy, Marketing, Finance and Legal on bid/ proposal prep, contract negotiation and administration for products/services.
• Manage contract lifecycle tasks: proposal review, negotiations, modifications, close-outs, program support for multi-year contracts.
• Draft, evaluate and negotiate NDAs, SPAs, Subcontracts, Consulting, License, Master and other agreements; apply FAR/DFAR, OTA knowledge.
