Job summary

Analytical Mechanics Associates seeks a mid-level to senior Contracts Administrator to independently manage the full life cycle of prime contracts and task orders, subcontracts AMA awards to other companies, and commercial agreements. The successful candidate will support AMA’s NASA and Department of Defense programs in Huntsville, AL with hybrid or remote work options.

The role requires strong FAR/DFARS knowledge, effective negotiation, and the ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business administration, contracts management, or related field.
• Mid-level ($63,942-$79,928): 5+ years of progressive contracts/subcontract admin exp.
• Senior-level ($77,331-$95,680): 8+ years, including complex negotiations.
• Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS and prime/subcontract flowdowns.
• Experience administering various contract types (Cost-type, FFP, T&M, etc.).
• Strong commercial contract and subcontract experience, both prime and sub.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and administer prime contracts, delivery and task orders through life cycle.
• Support proposal reviews, risk identification, and mitigation recommendations.
• Serve as contact with Government contracting personnel and teaming partners.
• Coordinate reviews of terms and legal sufficiency of documents.
• Manage subcontracts from definition to closeout and funding administration.
• Prepare RFPs and evaluate subcontractor proposals and bids.
• Administer CPSR-relevant activities and maintain contract files.
• Review, negotiate, and administer commercial agreements including MSAs and NDAs.
• Assess risk and compliance, including cost, payment, warranties, and IP provisions.
• Collaborate with Finance, Program Management, and other stakeholders.
