Job summary

Analytical Mechanics Associates seeks a mid-level to senior Contracts Administrator to independently manage the full life cycle of prime contracts and task orders, subcontracts AMA awards to other companies, and agreements under which AMA performs as a subcontractor. The role supports NASA and DoD programs with strong commercial contract knowledge and sound judgment.

The position is located in Huntsville, AL, with potential hybrid or remote arrangements for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field and 5+ years of contracts experience.
• Familiarity with FAR/DFARS and government contracting.
• Experience administering various contract types (cost-type, fixed-price, labor-based).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and administer prime contracts, orders, and subcontracts through full life cycle.
• Review solicitations, statements of work, and specs to identify risks and mitigation.
• Act as point of contact with Government contracting personnel and teaming partners.
• Support reviews with contract status, funding, and compliance information.
• Coordinate review of terms and legal sufficiency of documents.
• Manage subcontracts from definition to closeout, including negotiations and funding.
• Prepare RFPs and evaluate subcontractor proposals with technical and cost analyses.
