Job summary

ERG seeks a Senior Contract Administrator to lead the full lifecycle of government contracts, from proposals to closeout, advising clients and internal teams on compliance and risk. You will mentor junior staff and help shape the Contracts Department's policies and best practices.

With prime contractor experience, you will navigate complex bids, cost analyses, and procurement controls in a fast-paced environment, supporting flexible remote and hybrid arrangements and ongoing professional

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 12 years of contract administration experience supporting federal, state, and/or local government contracts; experience as a federal government prime contractor in professional services preferred.
  • Experience with GSA Multiple Award Schedules, U.S. EPA, and/or DoD contracting is a plus (experience with other federal agencies welcome)
  • Demonstrated expertise in proposal pricing, contract negotiation, and problem solving
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe
  • Solid understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and contract types, including CPFF, T&M, FFP
  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint ERP is a plus
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and proactive problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Administer federal, state, and/or local contracts across the full lifecycle, including proposal preparation, negotiation, administration, and closeout
  • Collaborate with clients and cross‑functional teams (technical, business development, subcontracts, and accounting) to deliver comprehensive contract support
  • Advise senior management on contractual risk, compliance matters, and contract strategy
  • Partner with technical and business leads to drive compliant, competitive proposals
  • Conduct contracts‑related research and analysis and contribute to the development and continuous improvement of contract department policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Support training and development initiatives within the Contracts Department
  • Directly prepare, analyze, and negotiate cost and pricing proposals, including profitability analyses and risk assessments
  • Implement and uphold procurement policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior contract professionals, supporting their development and knowledge of contracting best practices
  • Support contract closeout activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of outstanding items
