Job summary

Compass Group USA is seeking a Sr. Accountant, Contracts, at our North America headquarters in Charlotte, NC. The role combines accounting excellence with contract interpretation, cross-functional collaboration, and process improvements.

You will oversee contract reviews, ensure IFRS-aligned reporting, lead journal entries, and mentor colleagues. Minimum 3 years in ledger/contract accounting, degree in Accounting/Finance, and strong Excel/SAP skills are required.

Qualifications

Four-year degree in Accounting or Finance.
Minimum three years full general ledger or contractual accounting experience.
Experience with contract interpretation is a plus.
Proficient knowledge of Excel; SAP is a plus.
Experience with Hyperion/Essbase is a plus.

Responsibilities

Review contracts to identify and interpret complex financial obligations.
Ensure compliance to contract terms and commitments including commissions, volume allowances, profit splits, etc.
Prepare monthly journal entries, payments, and reconciliations for contractual obligations.
Ensure accounting conforms to IFRS and Group policies.
Maintain monthly P&L accuracy and support internal controls.
