Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Senior Contractor Safety Program Manager to own and drive safety programs across North America Operations. You will partner with Procurement, Field Workplace Health and Safety, and site teams to enforce world-class safety standards for under-the-roof contractors and Avetta governance.

You will lead safety projects from inception to implementation, conduct risk assessments, and guide teams through investigations and corrective actions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of program or project management experience.
• Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
• 5+ years of increasing responsibilities in EHS or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, safety, environmental, or equivalent field of study.
• GenAI fluency

Responsibilities

• Own and drive safety programs from inception through implementation.
• Own safety related projects and actions needed to deliver them, including narrative paper writing for exec audiences.
• Assess contractor high-risk operations (e.g., work at heights, hazardous energy, lifting) and implement risk-minimizing strategies.
• Serve as trusted safety partner to senior regional leaders across North America; align on priorities and track progress.
• Conduct site visits to observe safety practices and gather frontline feedback for improvements.
• Develop/update safety standards, protocols, and training to drive best-in-class performance.
• Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Operations, Procurement, Construction and others to scale safety initiatives.
• Monitor safety metrics, analyze trends, and present recommendations to leadership.
