Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Senior Contractor Safety Program Manager to own and drive safety initiatives for North America Operations. You will collaborate with Procurement, Field Workplace, Health and Safety, and site support teams to ensure best-in-class safety across under-the-roof contractors and Avetta partnerships.

You will oversee safety projects from inception through implementation, conduct rigorous site visits, investigate incidents, and develop training materials.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of program or project management experience.
• Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
• Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
• 5+ years of increasing responsibilities in EHS or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, safety, environmental, or equivalent field of study.
• Generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) fluency.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive safety programs from inception through implementation.
• Own safety related projects and the actions needed to deliver them including narrative paper writing for executive leadership audiences.
• Assess contractor high risk operations and implement strategies to minimize risk.
• Serve as a trusted safety partner to senior regional leaders across North America, aligning on strategic priorities and tracking progress against goals.
• Conduct regular site visits to Amazon warehouse locations to observe safety practices and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and update safety standards, protocols, and training materials to drive consistent safety performance.
• Lead comprehensive incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with Operations, Procurement, Construction, and beyond to scale safety initiatives and embed improvements.
• Monitor safety metrics, analyze trends, and present recommendations to senior leadership.
