Job summary

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) AES OOA OWP Contract Mgmt is seeking a Contract Specialist IV in Austin to oversee contract management for Outstationed Worker Program (OWP) revenue contracts. This role leads SME activities, provides guidance, and ensures compliance with program requirements.

Responsibilities include developing contracts, monitoring performance and expenditures, and coordinating with internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or four years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience in procurement, contract management, or contract monitoring.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to interpret laws, rules, and requirements for HHSC programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive contract management from development to closeout.
• Develop policies and procedures related to contracting activities and amendments.
• Monitor contractor performance, expenditures, and billing processes.
• Lead communication between contractors and program staff and provide guidance.
• Coordinate and oversee contract activities in accordance with state rules.
