Senior Contract Specialist
Location: Kittery, Maine 03904
Job Type: Full-time | Primarily On-site
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week (daily shifts between 6:00 AM and 5:00 PM Eastern Time)
Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Senior Contract Specialists to support federal acquisition and procurement activities in Kittery, Maine.
This position involves performing complex acquisition work with senior-level technical review, mentorship and acquisition quality assurance responsibilities..
Key Responsibilities
- Perform the end-to-end acquisition tasks identified for Contract Specialists, including complex procurement strategies, pricing, solicitations, evaluation, awards and post-award actions.
- Develop and review acquisition strategy options, competition approaches, risk assessments, negotiation materials and procurement documentation.
- Review work products for regulatory accuracy, completeness and compliance before submission for government approval.
- Analyze complex fixed-price and cost-reimbursable data using advanced Excel and other procurement systems.
- Provide on-the-job training, mentorship, knowledge transfer and practical job aids to staff.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of government contracting experience, covering commercial/non-commercial supplies and services, IDIQ contracts, and task/delivery orders.
- Bachelor's degree required; business-related degree preferred.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- DAWIA Contracting Professional Certification or recognized equivalent, with examples listed as DAWIA Level III, FAC-C (new criteria), FAC-C-DoD, or legacy FAC-C Level III.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365; expert contracting knowledge; automated acquisition/e-commerce skills.
- Demonstrable experience training, mentoring or sharing professional acquisition knowledge.
Technical Skills and Experience
- Candidates should demonstrate extensive proficiency and working experience with: Contract writing systems such as ePS, SPS/PD2; procurement reporting and vendor systems such as FPDS-NG and SAM.
- Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat; online federal acquisition and contract-information platforms (including GSA eBuy, eLibrary and Advantage).
- Procurement integrated enterprise systems and modules, such as PIEE, CLS, EDA, SPRS and government property tools.
- Advanced Excel: HLOOKUP/VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP; PivotTables on large datasets; conditional formatting with custom formulas; and complex, nested formulas.
