Mayvin is seeking a Senior Contract Specialist to provide professional contract support and expertise in support of the mission of the United States Marshals Service (USMS). This position will support contract-related activities, apply knowledge of various federal government contract types, and work independently to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Must be able to undergo and pass a background investigation.

Responsibilities
  • Assist government contracting officers with complex large and small purchase contract actions based on the various cradle-to-grave functions
  • Prepare for award and assist with administering various contracts and task orders
  • Review solicitation packages for completeness
  • Prepare Determination & Findings (D&F) and conduct market research in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
  • Research and provide statistical data to contracting officers
  • Research and prepare market research documentation
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 24 hours of business credits
  • Minimum of 8 years of related work experience with the knowledge and ability to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities outlined above
  • Knowledge of the FAR, specifically FAR Parts 5, 8, 10, 12, and 15
  • Ability to apply creative and strategic thinking to develop innovative solutions to complex contracting challenges
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least eight (8) years of experience supporting the Federal Government in a contract-related field or assisting a Federal Government Contracting Officer as a contractor
  • Former Federal Contracting Officer – Series 1102 (GS-13 or above)
  • Previous Federal Procurement Data System – Next Generation (FPDS-NG) Database experience
