Job summary

State of Florida’s Division of Telecommunications seeks a Contract and Project Manager Supervisor in Tallahassee to oversee contract management, vendor guidance, and staff supervision. He or she will help establish procurement policies and ensure compliant, value-driven service delivery across projects.

The role requires strong negotiation, leadership, and project management skills, with experience in government procurement.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree from an accredited college or university; professional experience can substitute for education.
• FCCM certification or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
• Two years’ supervisory experience.
• Five years’ managing contracts/grants/projects over $5 million.
• Three years’ experience in government procurement in Florida.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff, manage performance, plan and direct work.
• Establish contract management and procurement policies; guide staff and vendors for best value.
• Monitor contract performance and ensure accountability while maintaining collegial relationships.
• Identify opportunities to procure/develop services that add value to DivTel.
• Advise product managers and leadership on contractual issues; interface with Legal/Purchasing.
• Ensure compliance with Florida statutes, GAO rules, ethics and governor directives.
