Job summary

DP World Contract Logistics seeks a Senior Contract Manager in the United States to own contract lifecycle across warehousing, distribution, and value-added services. You will coordinate with Legal, Commercial and Operations to maintain contract inventories, monitor renewals, surface risk, and support negotiations.

The role requires 8+ years in contract management, sharp communication, and the ability to drive cross-functional alignment.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of contract management, negotiation, and commercial/legal advisory experience.
  • A law degree is not required for this role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, legal studies, or related field is required.
  • Experience managing Commercial agreements such as TSA, MSA, 3PL, Carrier, NDA, and SLA.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and mitigate legal risk.
  • Experience with regulatory and trade compliance a plus.
  • Strong communication and relationship-management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Capture and maintain contract collateral for current business; ensure accessibility to Legal, Commercial, and Operations.
  • Administer contract renewals end-to-end; brief teams on milestones, deliverables, and deadlines.
  • Maintain regional inventory of contracts to manage expirations and scope changes.
  • Support customer discussions and negotiations with Commercial owners.
  • Serve as liaison between Commercial owner and Legal during negotiation and contracting.
  • Support Legal on negotiation calls; balance collaborative tone with strong legal positions.
  • Analyze contracts for risk and potential profit leakage; propose mitigations.
  • Support procurement agreements for launches; draft, review, negotiate vendor and services agreements.
  • Manage third-party vendor relationships through lifecycle; ensure launch timelines and risk positions are met.
  • Resolve customer and vendor disputes; coordinate with Legal for timely resolution.
  • Ensure all departments review risks and sign off prior to execution.
  • Manage contractual obligations post-execution; track deliverables and milestones.

Job description

The Senior Contract Manager will be the central point of accountability for managing contracts across for our US Contract Logistics business – including warehousing, distribution, and value-added services agreements. This role bridges Legal, Commercial, and Operations teams by maintaining a complete inventory of active contracts, driving timely renewals and milestone tracking, supporting negotiations with strategic customers, and coordinating with Legal to apply approved contract clauses and surface risk. The ideal candidate combines strong contract management discipline and fluency with Legal AI and contract-review tools with the interpersonal skill to represent the company constructively in customer-facing legal discussions.

  • 8+ years of experience in contract management, negotiation, and commercial/legal advisory, ideally within global or logistics-oriented organizations. A law degree is not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, legal studies, or a related field required.
  • Demonstrated experience managing commercial agreements such as Transportation Service Agreements, Master Services Agreements, 3PL Agreements, Carrier Agreements, NDAs, and SLAs.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, mitigate legal risk, and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
  • Experience supporting regulatory compliance and trade compliance in a logistics or supply chain context is a plus.
  • Strong communication and relationship-management skills, with the ability to represent the company constructively in customer negotiations.

About The Role
  • Capture and maintain contract collateral for all current business, ensuring documentation is complete, accurate, and readily accessible to Legal, Commercial, and Operations stakeholders.
  • Administer contract renewals end-to-end, proactively briefing Operations and Commercial teams on upcoming milestones, deliverables, and renewal deadlines.
  • Maintain a regional inventory of all contracts to support Operations and Commercial teams in managing expirations, renewal timing, and scope changes.
  • Support strategic customer discussions and contract negotiations where needed, partnering with Commercial owners to align on positioning and desired outcomes.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for contract clause questions and customer pushback, applying company-approved standards and escalating to Legal for positions requiring legal judgment.
  • Serve as the direct liaison between the Commercial owner and the Legal team throughout the negotiation and contracting process.
  • Support Legal on customer negotiation calls, playing the "good cop" role and maintaining a collaborative tone that keeps discussions productive and relationships intact, while the attorneys lead on legal positions.
  • Analyze contracts for commercial and legal risk and potential profit leakage – including liability terms, payment terms, performance/KPIs, and exit clauses – proposing alternative approaches to mitigate risk and supporting risk visibility and escalation.
  • Support the procurement agreements associated with Launches – including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating vendor, equipment, and services agreements – and manage ongoing third-party vendor and supplier relationships through the contract lifecycle, partnering with Procurement and Operations to ensure launch timelines and risk positions are met.
  • Support the resolution of customer and vendor contract disputes, drafting proposed approaches and documentation and coordinating with Legal to facilitate timely resolution.
  • Ensure that all applicable departments have reviewed and signed off on the risks associated with an agreement prior to execution, coordinating the approval workflow and confirming required signoffs are documented.
  • Manage contractual obligations post-execution, tracking deliverables, milestones, and compliance commitments and coordinating with Operations, Commercial, and Legal to ensure obligations are met.
