Job summary

Sungrow USA Corporation in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The role focuses on contract-based accounting, reconciliations, and accurate revenue recognition under ASC 606, while ensuring alignment between accounting, project management, and commercial teams.

The successful candidate will have strong accounting experience, proficiency in SAP and Excel, and excellent communication across departments and with auditors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, energy, or contract/project-based accounting.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Experience preparing account reconciliations, analyzing variances, and resolving discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Perform project reconciliations to validate billing accuracy, revenue reporting, and ASC 606 compliance.
• Review contracts and purchase orders to identify performance obligations and billing milestones.
• Ensure revenue recognition is appropriate under ASC 606.
• Review cash applications to ensure correct posting to customers and invoices.
• Collaborate with Project Management, Operations, and Finance to monitor financial performance.
• Assist with month-end close by recording invoicing, revenue, and GL transactions accurately.
• Support audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and documentation.
