Job summary

Becton, Dickinson and Company seeks a BD Excellence Staff Engineer to lead continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing, quality, engineering, and supply chain at our El Paso site. You will deploy the BD Excellence Management System using Lean, Six Sigma, and problem-solving tools to elevate safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, operational excellence, continuous improvement, engineering, quality, or related functions.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects and improvement initiatives.
• Advanced analytical and data interpretation skills.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, Excel, and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead Kaizen events, Rapid Improvement Workshops, and Value Stream Mapping activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, efficiency, and operational performance.
• Facilitate cross-functional teams in root cause analysis and sustainable corrective actions.
• Drive waste elimination efforts focused on safety, quality, inventory, motion, transportation, waiting, overproduction, and defects.
• Develop performance dashboards and visual management systems.
• Support site goals related to safety, quality, service, cost, and inventory.
