Job summary

BD Excellence Staff Engineer position at our El Paso, TX site leads continuous improvement across manufacturing, quality, engineering and supply chain. You will drive BD Excellence deployment, coach teams, and manage Kaizen events and value stream mapping to deliver safety, quality, cost and delivery improvements.

You will develop dashboards, analyze KPIs, and partner with site leadership to sustain improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, operational excellence, continuous improvement, engineering, quality, or related functions.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects and improvement initiatives.
• Advanced analytical and data interpretation skills.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, Excel, and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive BD Excellence strategies, standards, and best practices across the site.
• Facilitate maturity assessments and close gaps with action plans.
• Promote a continuous improvement culture at all levels.
• Integrate BD Excellence principles into daily management systems.
• Lead Kaizen events, Rapid Improvement Workshops, and Lean projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, efficiency, and performance.
• Facilitate cross-functional root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Drive waste elimination focusing on safety, quality, inventory, motion, and defects.
• Analyze operational data and KPIs to identify trends.
• Develop dashboards and visual management systems.
• Support site goals related to safety, quality, service, cost, and inventory.
• Monitor project performance and ensure benefits realization.
• Train and coach associates and leaders on Lean and BD Excellence.
