Job summary

Cooley LLP is seeking a Content Strategy & Production Manager to join its Integrated Content Marketing team. The role drives editorial strategy, transforms complex legal concepts into market-facing thought leadership, and oversees content development and production across channels.

The position combines hands-on content creation with editorial oversight, team leadership, and process optimization to advance Cooley’s brand and business goals. A hybrid work model is supported.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience developing content strategies and producing multimedia content.
• Experience supervising content production, including coordinating writers, editors, videographers and designers.
• Experience with modern technologies to increase content efficiency and output.

Responsibilities

• Content Strategy Development: develop firm-wide content strategy using audience and business insights and global trends.
• Content Strategy for Practice Groups: create content strategies for specific practice groups in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Content Measurement: develop measurement strategies for editorial, digital and video platforms.
• Content Development: conceive and develop articles, blogs, video, interactives and infographics.
• Content Production: supervise writers, editors and designers to deliver high-quality content.
• Thought Leadership: develop best practices for engaging thought leadership content across platforms.
• SME Interviewing: conduct advanced interviews to distill complex concepts into narratives.
• Always-Ready Collateral Development: draft and refine go-to-market materials.
• Maintain Brand Consistency: ensure brand voice and guidelines are followed.
• Competitor & Topic Research: perform topic research to target client needs and whitespace.
• Freelance Supervision: review work of contract writers to ensure quality.
• Process Contribution & Evolution: refine content workflows from ideation to delivery.
• People Leader: supervise and mentor direct reports, manage staffing and development.
