Job summary

Pearson is seeking an Advanced Specialist, Content Implementation to lead end-to-end item and test development for large-scale K–12 statewide assessments. You will translate standards into specifications, manage cross-functional teams, and coordinate with Psychometrics, Content, Publishing Services, and Finance.

This senior role requires 5+ years in educational testing, strong project and financial planning skills, and the ability to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years of experience in educational testing and assessments.
• Experience in item and test development for statewide K–12 assessments; paper and online modalities.
• Knowledge of psychometric principles.
• Experience with statewide assessments; classroom teaching valued.
• Proficiency with project and financial planning.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead assessment design guidance for statewide programs and coordinate with client educators.
• Translate standards into item/test specifications and secure client approvals.
• Configure item bank metadata and oversee form assembly for paper and online administrations.
• Create and monitor labor and non-salary forecasts; participate in forecast and finance reconciliation.
• Manage scope discussions with content development vendors and coordinate SOWs.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation and contingency plans.
• Create and execute communication plans for customers and track satisfaction metrics.
• Lead staffing with Content leadership and coach team members and vendors.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to support content development and ensure compliance.
