Job summary

Pearson is seeking an Advanced Specialist, Content Implementation to drive end-to-end item and test development for large-scale K–12 statewide programs. You’ll translate standards into item specifications, coordinate cross-functional teams, and lead content development with client-facing responsibility.

The role requires leadership in assessment design across paper and online modalities, plus strategic use of AI tools to enhance assets while ensuring accessibility and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years in educational testing and assessment with client-facing work and cross-functional leadership.
• Expertise in item/test development for statewide K–12 assessments (paper and online).
• Knowledge of psychometric principles related to development.
• Experience with statewide assessments; classroom teaching experience valuable.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on assessment design and content development for statewide assessments.
• Serve as primary client-facing leader for content development and educator committee meetings.
• Translate standards into actionable item/test specifications and secure client approvals.
• Lead scope discussions with content vendors and coordinate SOWs and escalations.
• Create, monitor and update labor and non-salary forecasts for programs.
