Job summary

VTG seeks an experienced Platform Engineer to design, implement, automate, and maintain scalable platform infrastructure across cloud, containers, and CI/CD. You will build and manage Kubernetes-based services, deploy Helm charts, and implement IaC with Terraform while enforcing DevSecOps practices.

You will also automate provisioning with Ansible/Puppet, manage IAM in AWS, and monitor platform performance. The role requires strong Linux administration and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and maintaining modern platform or cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience deploying and managing containerized applications using Kubernetes.
  • Experience implementing DevSecOps practices and integrating security into development and deployment processes.
  • Experience developing and managing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
  • Experience with configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible and Puppet.
  • Strong Red Hat Linux system administration experience.
  • Experience with IAM in AWS and Kubernetes deployments.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, maintain, and continuously improve scalable platform infrastructure.
  • Build, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes.
  • Manage Kubernetes deployments, configurations, and releases with Helm.
  • Develop and maintain IaC using Terraform.
  • Automate system configuration and provisioning with Ansible and Puppet.
  • Administer, secure, patch, and troubleshoot Red Hat Linux environments.
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for build, testing, and deployment.
  • Integrate security controls and DevSecOps practices throughout the SDLC.
  • Manage container platforms, images, registries, and deployment workflows.
  • Configure AWS IAM users, roles, policies, and access controls.
  • Monitor performance, availability, and resource utilization; drive improvements.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues across cloud, container, OS, networking, and automation.
  • Collaborate with developers, security, and operations teams; maintain docs and standards.
  • Drive automation and continuous improvement across the platform environment.

Overview

VTG is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to design, implement, automate, and maintain the infrastructure and platform services that support mission‑critical applications and services. The Platform Engineer will work across cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, automation, configuration management, CI/CD, and security to build reliable, scalable, and secure platform environments. This role requires hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, Red Hat Linux, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), DevSecOps practices, and AWS identity and access management.

What will you do?
  • Design, implement, maintain, and continuously improve scalable and secure platform infrastructure.
  • Build, deploy, and manage containerized applications and services using Kubernetes.
  • Manage Kubernetes application deployments, configurations, and releases using Helm.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
  • Automate system configuration, provisioning, and infrastructure management using Ansible and Puppet.
  • Administer, configure, secure, patch, and troubleshoot Red Hat Linux environments.
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate application build, testing, security scanning, and deployment processes.
  • Integrate security controls and DevSecOps practices throughout the software development and deployment lifecycle.
  • Manage container platforms, images, registries, and application deployment workflows.
  • Configure and manage AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), including users, roles, policies, and access controls.
  • Monitor platform performance, availability, capacity, and resource utilization.
  • Identify opportunities to improve platform reliability, scalability, security, performance, and cost efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues across cloud, container, operating system, networking, automation, and application environments.
  • Collaborate with software developers, security engineers, systems engineers, and other technical teams to support application and infrastructure requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and platform standards.
  • Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives across the platform environment.
Do you have what it takes?
