Job summary

Qualifications

• BS or greater in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
• Registered Professional Engineer is desirable.
• Minimum of 14 years of experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer or meets additional years of experience requirements.
• Extensive experience with gas fired combined cycle power plant mechanical and electrical systems.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with peers, management and outside agencies.

Responsibilities

• Understand design features of the facility and oversee design changes.
• Perform complex root cause analyses.
• Assist Maintenance Manager in planning major outages.
• Manage revisions to plant technical documentation and drawings.
• Develop annual budget for engineering and design support and modification activities.
• Assist in developing other employees in area of expertise.
• Lead role on projects, teams, processes, or programs.
• Respond quickly to plant conditions which may involve extended hours.
• Use PCs and various software applications.
• Report to NERC.
• Maintain safety and environmental compliance.
