Vistra is seeking an experienced engineer in Oswego, NY to plan and perform complex engineering duties, review and approve project specs, and lead design changes with a focus on safety and compliance. The role requires extensive experience and strong communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifikationen

• BS or greater in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
• Registered Professional Engineer is preferred.
• Minimum of 14 years of engineering experience.
• Experience with gas-fired combined cycle power plant mechanical and electrical systems.
• Must communicate effectively with peers, management and external agencies.

Aufgaben

• Understand facility design and oversee design changes and modifications.
• Perform complex root cause analyses.
• Assist Maintenance Manager in planning major outages.
• Manage revisions to plant technical documentation and drawings.
• Develop the annual budget for engineering and design support.
• Mentor and develop other engineers.
• Lead projects, teams, or programs.
• Respond to plant conditions with extended work hours as needed.
• Report to NERC and maintain safety and environmental standards.
