Job summary

Vistra Energy is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer in Oswego, NY. The role involves planning and performing engineering duties, reviewing complex project specs for code conformance, and independent work with Facility Staff. The position offers a salary range of $109,000 to $160,000 plus bonus and benefits.

Ideal candidates have 14+ years in engineering, a BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, and a PE license is preferred. Gas-fired CC power plant experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 14+ years of engineering experience.
• BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
• Registered Professional Engineer is preferred.
• Experience with gas-fired combined cycle power plants.

Responsibilities

• Understand design features of the facility and oversee design changes.
• Perform complex root cause analyses.
• Assist Maintenance Manager in planning major outages.
• Manage revisions to plant technical documentation and drawings.
• Develop annual budget for engineering and design activities.
• Lead projects, teams, or programs.
• Respond to plant conditions, including extended hours.
• Maintain safety and environmental compliance.
