Job summary

Nüvitek in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Senior Consultant, ServiceNow to design, develop, and deploy ServiceNow solutions within an Agile team. This role centers on EAM, HAM, and SAM modules and requires strong asset lifecycle workflows and data staging expertise.

You will lead technical work, conduct peer reviews, participate in sprint ceremonies, and deliver end-to-end stockroom and EDW integration. Top Secret/TS SCI preferred; US citizenship may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of professional ServiceNow experience in project implementations within Agile.
  • Proven track record in EAM, HAM, and SAM modules on ServiceNow.
  • Designing asset classifications, lifecycle state workflows and stockroom frameworks.
  • Staging NSN/FLIS data and implementing duplicate prevention strategies.
  • End-to-end Service Catalog workflows for hardware and software assets.
  • Reporting pipelines to feed Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW).
  • Security models, access controls, upgrade strategies and compliance.
  • IT delivery methodology knowledge and leading implementation teams.
  • Experience with reports and dashboards in ServiceNow Performance Analytics.
  • Certifications: Security+, CSA, CAD.
  • Strong data concepts (SQL, databases) and business workflows.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with technical and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Envision, design, and implement new features on the ServiceNow low-code platform from backlog.
  • Bringing innovative thinking and collaborating with peers to solve challenges.
  • Build service requests from requirements using workflows and manage data flows.
  • Lead ServiceNow development, configuration, and administration tasks.
  • Unit test features and conduct peer reviews of code as needed.
  • Participate in Agile meetings, including grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Deliver client presentations during sprint demos and coordinate meetings.
  • Contribute to implementation architectures for digital solutions and accelerators.
  • Share knowledge and draft white papers to socialize best practices.
  • Create proofs of concept and technical solutions for internal apps.
  • Configure asset classes, categories, and model structures for EAM enclave.
  • Develop asset lifecycle workflows and state transitions.
  • Establish NSN/FLIS data staging with deduplication and audit logging.
  • Set up stockroom records and the hierarchy; groundwork for EDW reporting.
  • Implement end-to-end stockroom operations with complete transaction tracking.
  • Support HAM and SAM configurations aligning with the EAM data model.
  • Lead testing, training, cutover, and final handoff activities.

As a Senior Consultant, ServiceNow, you will play a vital role at Nuvitek. You will work closely with an equally enthusiastic team of developers and engineers in an Agile environment to modernize our customers' applications using low-code solutions and enhance the ServiceNow platform for our organization.

Location: Chantilly, VA (Government/Contractor SCIF) 100% on-site

Clearance: Active Top Secret Clearance/TS SCI Preferred

What you will do:
  • Help to envision, design, and implement new features utilizing the ServiceNow low-code platform for the projects based on the prioritized product backlog
  • Bring innovative, out-of-the-box thinking to solving challenging problems, brainstorming with peers, and utilizing available resources, including internal as well as external resources
  • Build service requests from the requirements, including requests, request items, and tasks using workflows - manage data flows from the customer to the support teams providing the service
  • Demonstrated experience in ServiceNow development, configuration, and administration, including experience leading teams in ServiceNow deployments.
  • Unit test all developed features, including edge cases. Also, be comfortable conducting peer reviews of other developer’s code as needed
  • Attend and actively participate in all Agile-related meetings. Work within the Agile framework, including participating in User Story grooming sessions, Sprint Planning meetings, and retrospectives
  • Delivery presentations as required to the client during Sprint demos and coordinating meetings with intersecting teams as required.
  • Participate in implementation architectures for digital solutions, frameworks, and accelerators.
  • Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions within the company to socialize best practices and draft white papers as applicable.
  • Help with building proof of concept, and creating technical solutions for internal application as needed.
  • Configure asset classes, categories, and model structures with approved attributes for the initial Enterprise Asset Managemetn (EAM) enclave.
  • Develop asset lifecycle and management workflows enabling asset creation, updates, and state transitions.
  • Establish NSN and FLIS data staging with deduplication controls and audit logging.
  • Set up stockroom records and implement the approved organizational stockroom hierarchy.
  • Establish baseline reporting and lay the groundwork for the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) reporting framework during the initial rollout phase.
  • Implement end-to-end stockroom operational capabilities—including receiving, transfer, issuance, and return operations with complete transaction tracking by asset and user.
  • Support Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM) configurations to maintain alignment with the unified EAM data model.
  • Lead efforts across testing, user training, system cutover, and final operational handoff.
What you will bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or an equivalent technical field.
  • 8+ years of professional experience with the ServiceNow eco-system performing project implementations that exploit the ServiceNow platform's full capabilities (discover, design, implement, and optimize) while delivering in an Agile framework.
  • Proven track record of developing and customizing ServiceNow Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), Hardware Asset Management (HAM), and Software Asset Management (SAM) modules.
  • Proficiency in designing asset classifications, defining lifecycle state workflows, and setting up stockroom or warehouse operational frameworks.
  • Hands-on expertise in staging NSN/FLIS data, configuring audit trails, and implementing duplicate prevention strategies.
  • Familiarity with end-to-end Service Catalog workflows for acquiring, entitling, and managing hardware and software assets.
  • Adept at configuring reporting data pipelines to feed Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) systems.
  • Demonstrate extensive experience with security models, access controls, upgrade strategies, and compliance requirements.
  • A solid understanding of IT delivery methodology and leading teams in the implementation of the solution according to the design/architecture.
  • Experience with creating reports and dashboards within ServiceNow Performance Analytics.
  • Required Certifications:
    • Cybersecurity focused certification like Security+,
    • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
    • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
  • Fairly good understanding of data concepts (SQL, Databases) and business workflows
  • Strong verbal and writing skills, including the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate at all levels with technical as well as business resources
