Job summary

Nüvitek seeks a Senior Architect for ServiceNow – Enterprise Asset Management at our Chantilly, VA campus. The role is 100% on-site with active Top Secret clearance required; TS/SCI preferred.

You will lead the ServiceNow implementation, mentor peers, and collaborate with agile teams to deliver asset management excellence. Responsibilities include securing the platform, building automation, and aligning architecture with business outcomes while working with CSM/ITSM/HRSD modules and stakeholder

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant field.
• 10+ years of relevant experience or 8+ with a Masters.
• Minimum 3+ years in system administration in a service desk environment.

As a Senior Architect, ServiceNow – Enterprise Asset Management, you will play a vital role at Nuvitek. You will be working closely with an equally enthusiastic team of developers and engineers working in an Agile environment to modernize our customer's application using low-code solutions and enhance the ServiceNow platform for our organization. As part of the process, you will be learning from peers/ seniors and will be mentoring juniors in your tenure with Nuvitek.

Location: Chantilly, VA (Government/Contractor SCIF) 100% on-site

Clearance: Active Top Secret Required. TS/SCI preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Support CSM, ITSM, HRSD, ITOM ServiceNow applications.
• Maintain the stability and usability of the ServiceNow platform across production and non-production environments.
• Performs application maintenance to include performance monitoring and error identification and remediation.
• Manage key stakeholders both internally and externally.
• Manages ServiceNow instance security: user/group access, administration, access control lists.
• Initiate health scans and tracks the remediation of findings.
• Develop automation scripts for efficient deployment and operations of ServiceNow using a variety of scripting and programming languages.
• Use good coding practices, to ensure reliable, durable code.
• Understand customer critical business issues, requirements, and outcomes
• Draft solutions (Design/Build/Manage) defining scope, timelines, assumptions, and dependencies
• Incorporate ServiceNow best practices and accelerators.
• Lead technical aspects of the ServiceNow implementation
• Provide technical guidance during workshops and assist in the creation and refinement of stories
• If required, configure the ServiceNow platform during sprints while sharing knowledge and best practices
• Design and communicate a technical architecture blueprint based on capability and process implementation roadmaps aligning to desired Business outcomes
• Analyze and translate business information and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint to achieve complex business objectives.
• Engage with the customer’s Enterprise Architects to position ServiceNow as the digital transformation platform standard, integrated with the customer’s core applications.
• Facilitating workshops or meetings to gather requirements, presenting, and validating solutions and test the interpretation of the client’s needs
• Demonstrating experience working with workflows in two or more key areas of the ServiceNow platform (e.g. ITSM, CSM, HR, ITOM, SecOps)
• Understanding and having experience in driving process optimisation, efficiencies and productivity using automation
• Act as a mentor to support less experienced colleaguesServes as an active contributor of leading practices, standards, and thought leadership related to the ServiceNow platform.
• Contribute to the development of opportunities and provide input to grow our business
• Define asset class models, stockroom hierarchies, and lifecycle states.
• Establish NSN/FLIS data staging, duplicate prevention, and audit trails.
• Design role-based access control and sanitized views for restricted attribute visibility.
• Specify EDW feed reporting requirements and initial Crawl phase framework.
• Lead requirements workshops for Terminations, stockroom structure, and data migration to deliver a scoped baseline.
• Support Walk phase design for multi-stockroom receiving-through-issuance workflows.
• Define scope boundaries for upcoming FACTS/CMS/PeopleSoft integrations.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institute (preferably in Mathematics, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering)
• Minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 8 years of prior relevant experience in technical domain.
• Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in system administration in particular in a service desk environment.
• Architected ServiceNow Asset Management (EAM/HAM/SAM) solutions, including warehouse-style operational models.
• Implementation and integration experience with ServiceNow CSM, ITSM and HRSD modules
• Good communication and soft skills to be able to ask the customer the right questions and understand requirements from a user perspective.
• Experience with ServiceNow and applying ITIL standards
• The following certifications:
  • A cybersecurity focused certification like Security+
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Hardware or Software Asset Management

It would be great if you also had:

• Unique combination of being business-minded and highly analytical while also having a strong and deep technical background in ServiceNow
• Able and willing to work independently and in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, with minimal supervision
• Experience in handling multiple tasks, changing priorities, and timely action; experience with Agile methodologies and Agile project management.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, along with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills in a remote environment
• Experience working with software development team members.
• Other open sources technology experience preferred.
• ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA and ITIL 4 Foundation certifications)
