Nordic is seeking a Senior Consultant for its Performance Improvement Practice within Strategic Advisory Services. You will work with healthcare clients to address strategic, clinical, and operational challenges, building data analyses, gathering requirements, mapping workflows, and researching industry changes.

You will lead workstreams, collaborate with clinical, technical, and leadership teams, and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in data sciences, business, healthcare administration or related field.
  • 5+ years healthcare industry experience (healthcare orgs or consulting).
  • Experience in hospital administration or revenue cycle preferred.
  • Strong communication and collaboration with clients and teams.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with PI team members to implement advisory solutions and demonstrate value.
  • Develop and maintain project artifacts: workplans, status reports, risk logs.
  • Create analytic models and financial analyses for client reviews.
  • Facilitate client interviews and meetings.

THE ROLE

Performance Improvement (PI) Practice within Nordic's Strategic Advisory Services (SAS) is responsible for helping healthcare organizations address some of their most challenging strategic, clinical, and operational problems for clients across the healthcare ecosystem.

Members within our PI project teams wear multiple hats to deliver quality work, including building insightful data analyses, gathering requirements, mapping workflows, designing use cases, and researching the latest changes impacting the healthcare industry.

As such, our Senior Consultants are expected to: Think creatively and support the delivery of a wide range of strategic initiatives Have strong communication and collaboration skills as they work closely with client end-users, technical developers, clinical providers, and senior leadership Demonstrate qualitative and quantitative management consulting skills Lead workstreams and facilitate client-facing meetings With guidance and mentorship from project and practice leadership, the Senior Consultant role provides individuals with extensive opportunities to gain experience across clinical, financial, patient experience, and technical solutions sought after within the healthcare industry to improve wellness and care for all.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Partner with PI team members to implement advisory solutions and demonstrate the value of the solution throughout the client engagement.
  • Collaborate with project leadership to develop and maintain project management artifacts including but not limited to workplans, status reports, decision and risk logs
  • Create complex analytical models to drive unique solutions to complex healthcare problems
  • Develop detailed financial analysis, statistical reports, visualizations, and presentations for both internal team and client review
  • Facilitate client interviews and meetings
  • Conduct detailed analyses to identify specific opportunities for improvement, as well as implementation recommendations
  • Consistently deliver work products that are high-quality and client-ready
  • Contribute to practice knowledge capital and tool development
  • Develop and update related work plans, issue logs, status reports, and related initiative trackers.
  • Review and validate conducted analyses and client deliverables before submission
  • Complete quality reviews on team member work products before delivery to client personnel, validating team member findings and observations, and corroborate team member process improvement and analytic activities
  • Mentor junior resources

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Education & Industry Bachelor's degree required, with a preference in data sciences, finance, business, healthcare administration or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in the healthcare industry (e.g., healthcare organization, consulting) preferably within hospital administration (e.g., finance, supply chain, HR, decision support, informatics) or revenue cycle (e.g., registration/patient access, HIM, coding, revenue integrity or billing/follow-up/denials management), or Value-Based Care

Core Software Skills
  • Strong expertise using Microsoft Office products
  • Prefer experience working with EMR (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech) or ERP solutions (e.g., Oracle, Infor, Workday)
  • Demonstrated knowledge using some of the following tools: GenAI Assistants (CoPilot) Analytical (PowerBI, Tableau) Programming languages (SQL, Python) undefined
