Job summary

Numera in Scottsdale, Arizona is seeking a Senior Consultant to lead end-to-end accounting operations. In this role, you will prepare financial statements, ensure US GAAP compliance, and mentor a team of accountants. The ideal candidate should have over 10 years of experience in accounting or finance, and CPA/CMA certification is preferred. This position offers remote flexibility, limited travel, health insurance, and professional development support.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Accounting/Finance, preferably with Audit/Public Accounting experience.
• Strong expertise in US GAAP and financial reporting.
• Preferred CPA or CMA certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end accounting operations including AP, AR, GL, Billing.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet).

What You’ll Do

• Lead end-to-end accounting operations (AP, AR, GL, Billing, Inventory, Revenue Recognition)
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
• Drive month-end & year-end close processes
• Ensure US GAAP compliance and resolve technical accounting issues
• Strengthen internal controls & financial processes
• Support audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting
• Partner directly with clients and stakeholders
• Lead & mentor a team of accountants and bookkeepers
• 10+ years in Accounting/Finance (Audit/Public Accounting preferred)
• Strong expertise in US GAAP & financial reporting
• Experience as a Senior Accountant / Controller / Consultant
• Hands-on with QuickBooks, Xero, or similar tools
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables)
• CPA/CMA – Preferred
• High-impact role with direct client exposure
