Job summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc. (HII) Newport News Shipbuilding seeks a Construction Supervisor to coordinate and supervise all aspects of the AOR construction process.

You will define scope and deliverables, manage schedule, safety and costs within contract specs, and liaise with trades’ management to resolve issues. Paths include 3 years CS1 or equivalent, or 2 years CS1 plus 2 years planning/production control, or higher education paths.

Qualifications

• Must have multiple qualified paths for role including CS1/3 years experience in construction supervision.
• Experience in planning, production control or related fields is acceptable.
• Military E-6 or higher is also an eligible background.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise all aspects of the construction process for AOR including defining scope, goals and deliverables.
• Manage schedule, quality, safety and cost within contract specifications.
• Identify risks, resolve design/material issues and liaise with trades’ management.
